Terms of use

Last updated: 28 October 2026

These terms apply to the Glasstally app for iPhone, provided by Eduard Teodor Lainer ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement also applies; where the two differ, these terms take precedence to the extent allowed.

1. The service

Glasstally helps you record spending and income, set budgets and see reports. It works offline without an account. Optional features need Sign in with Apple: sync between your devices, shared books with other people and receipt scanning.

2. Not financial advice

Glasstally is a record-keeping tool. Totals, budgets, reports and scanned receipts are only as accurate as the data entered, and receipt scanning uses AI that can make mistakes. Check scanned items before saving them. Nothing in the app is financial, tax or legal advice.

3. Your account and data

4. Premium

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app or its server: no attempts to break security, overload the service, reverse engineer it beyond what law allows, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. Third-party services

The app relies on Apple (sign-in, App Store), Cloudflare (server), Anthropic (receipt reading), RevenueCat (subscriptions) and Amplitude (analytics). Their availability is outside our control. See the privacy policy for what each receives.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the app and server running but cannot promise they are always available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue sync, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data.

8. Liability

The app is provided "as is" to the extent allowed by law. We are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions you make based on the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims there.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

12. Contact

Use the contact form in the privacy policy.
